Folsom Native Plant Society - Calendar

Meetings are scheduled on the third Sunday or Tuesday of the months of February, March, April, May, September, October and November. Below is a tentative schedule of meeting days, times and subjects. Check the monthly newsletter for more information on any given month.

Tentative Schedule of Some Native Plant Events for 2008

February 17: Sunday, 1:00 p.m. – FNPS Meeting, Location: The home of John Larkin. Plant show and tell and plan for Northshore Garden Show. Contact Al & Yvonne Bordelon at fnpsinfo@aol.com.

March 8: 9:30 - 3:00 p.m. FREE Gardening Symposium at the Mandeville Trailhead. Speaker: Author, Felder Rushing will give 2 programs and there will be vendors, too. For more info contact the Parks and Parkways Commission of Mandeville.

March 15-16: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Northshore Garden Show at the Covington, LA Fairgrounds. Members of the FNPS will man a booth and also give a presentation on native plant propagation. Contact Rusty Batty rbatty@agcenter.lsu.edu for more information.

March 30: Sunday, 1:00 p.m. – FNPS Meeting, Location: John Larkin’s, Program: Plant Swap - bring native plants and seeds to trade or share. Contact Al & Yvonne Bordelon at fnpsinfo@aol.com.

April 15: FNPS Meeting, 6:00 p.m., Location: TBA. Linda Beall will give a presentation about native plants that attract and feed Butterflies.

April 28, 29, 30: 2008 Louisiana Master Gardener State Conference. The FNPS president will give a program entitled, the Wonderful World of Native Plants at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29. Contact Rusty Batty rbatty@agcenter.lsu.edu for more information.
